Do you support or volunteer for a nonprofit that promotes social justice? Do you support or volunteer for a nonprofit that promotes health? The GreatNonprofits 2012 Top-Rated Awards gives you the chance to provide recognition for any group doing great work in these two areas.
Organizations that receive ten positive reviews from July 1st to July 31st will earn the title of “2012 Top-Rated Nonprofit.” Whether it’s a small local group or a national one, this month you have the opportunity to help it get recognized in GreatNonprofits’ Social Justice Awards 2012.
If you’ve had a personal experience with a nonprofit, your story is useful feedback and helps inform others. A story is a great way to inspire potential supporters and concretely communicate the nonprofit’s impact. The most compelling stories are told by people who see a nonprofit’s work firsthand — as a volunteer, community member or existing donor. In a recent survey, 84 percent of donors said reviews were helpful in deciding whether to give to a nonprofit.
It takes just two minutes to write a review. And nonprofits can Facebook, tweet or email their volunteers and donors to ask them to tell their stories. Here’s how you can get started:
