February is here (can you believe it?), and many of us are already looking ahead to the 14th, better known as Valentine’s Day. It’s the day when we show the people we care about just how we feel. And this Valentine’s Day, as in previous years, we want to let nonprofits across the country know just how much we appreciate what they do. But this year, we say: why wait?
If you’re reading this blog, then my guess is that you already know the power and poetry of the nonprofit sector. Let’s come together to spread that message this month across social media!
Snap a photo or use an existing image and post it to your Twitter, Instagram, and/or Tumblr accounts. Make sure to include the hashtag #NONPROFITLUV and mention us (@GuideStarUSA). We’ll be on the lookout for images you share and will shout-out as many as we can when we share them on our own social media channels!
Don’t know what kind of image to share? Here are some ideas:
- A photo of the people you support through volunteering
- A photo of the halls, walls, or people at your nonprofit
- An image or logo that represents a nonprofit you care about
- An image that you associate with social good or making the world better place
