You may have noticed some changes on www.guidestar.org. We're updating our site to make it easier to use. We've spent almost half a year learning how you and your fellow visitors use GuideStar and finding out what you need us to do better. We've tested new copy and designs, then refined and tested them again. This week, we unrolled our first new pages.
New Home Page
We learned that most of the people who come to our home page want to search our database. So we've made our nonprofit search the focus of the page. We've also made it easier for new users to sign up with us and explained the benefits of signing up. (You may need to log out of our site to see the new home page.)
New Nonprofit Reports
We've moved the navigation tabs to the top portion of the nonprofit reports to make it easier for you to get to the information you want. Again, you may need to log out of our site to see the changes. (At this time, there are no changes to our GuideStar Premium, GuideStar Premium Pro, or GuideStar Charity Check reports.)
An Ongoing Process
Obviously, this is only the beginning of the new www.guidestar.org. Even after we finish updating the site, we'll continue to refine it. So as you navigate throughout GuideStar now and in the future, you may see short, pop-up polls like the one below (which isn't live, by the way). We may also invite you to participate in longer surveys. And you may find that a page that looks a certain way on one day may differ on another. All of these efforts are designed to help us create a better www.guidestar.org for you.
